Mines and Energy Minister, Tom Alweendo says the ministry is reviewing the mining sector's legal and regulatory framework. He made the announcement at a media briefing held in Windhoek this week. In its 2017 annual mining survey, The Fraser Institution, a rating agency from Canada, indicated that Namibia dropped from the 53rd position, as an attractive mining investment country, to position 54, among 91 jurisdictions.
