Minister Mushelenga reiterates importance of public media reporting factually and objectively

Information Communication Technology Minister Dr Peya Mushelenga has reiterated the importance of public-owned media to report factually and objectively. Mushelenga spoke to NBC producers, New Era, Namibia Press Agency reporters and MICT staff at Rundu. The minister's visit was aimed at familiarising himself with the entities' operations. Among other issues, Mushelenga emphasised fair and factual reporting by public media houses. While touring local NBC radio station, Wato FM, he called for increased local content and reflecting diverse issues and cultures. He said the programming of the radio station must make people feel that they own the station. Mushelenga also stressed the need for staff training to ensure quality programming and optimal use of the latest technologies.
