Mourners continue to disobey COVID-19 protocols at burial services and public gatherings in the northern regions. It's business as usual as people speak for hours at memorial services and no social distancing of two metres or 50 people per gathering are observed. This morning, mourners came in large numbers to the burial ceremony of the late helicopter pilot and group captain Naftali Appolo Nambandi at Enkono Cemetery in the Oshana Region. Oshana Governor, Elia Irimari was disappointed about the large number of people who flocked to the burial, ignoring Government COVID-19 measures and protocols in place. He called on law enforcement agencies to be present at public gatherings to maintain law and order. Police officers came to the burial of Nambandi but left without enforcing any order.
