UNESCO has inscribed the ancestral musical sound knowledge and skills of the Nama speaking communities in Namibia onto its List of Intangible Cultural Heritage in Need of Urgent Safeguarding. Aixan /Gana /Ob #ANS TSI //Khasigu is the ancestral musical sound knowledge and skills that relate to the specific traditional music of the Nama people. It involves the use of traditional musical instruments such as a musical bow, traditional guitar and the harmonica, accompanied by singing, humming and ululating.
