Namibia and Angola agree to strengthen cooperation in finance

Namibia and Angola have agreed to strengthen cooperation in finance. Minister of International Relations and Cooperation, Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah, recently led a delegation of education, health, tourism, finance, and trade sector representatives to Angola. The two delegations called on the private sectors of both countries to capitalise on their immense trade and investment potentials to aid post-COVID-19 economic recovery. They agreed to co-operate in banking, cross-border payments and liberalisation of exchange controls. These were some of the agreements reached between the two countries during the trade and investment promotion mission in Angola last week. Namibia and Angola reiterated their determination in the fight against organized crime in general and terrorism in particular. They further agreed to co-operate in promoting the rule of law, maintaining peace, dialogue, as well as stability for the well-being and prosperity of both countries' inhabitants.
