Namibia has voiced its dissatisfaction with the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) for not considering Africa as a priority in its regular budget. Speaking at UNESCO's 212th session of the executive board, Namibia's permanent delegate to UNESCO, Ambassador Albertus Aochamub told the gathering that the status quo implies that the Global Priority Africa programme will once again be left to the mercy of extra-budgetary contributions.
