Namibia could avoid future water woes by developing an efficient water sector to building resilience and reduce the impact of future extreme weather events. This was said by the UNESCO Regional Director for Southern Africa, Professor Hubert Gijzen at the unveiling ceremony of the UNESCO Chair in Sustainable Water Research for Climate Adaptation in Arid Environments.
