Access and availability of public transport in both urban and rural areas, and the high cost of transportation in general, are said to be impeding the achievements of social and economic equity for the larger portion of the population. Germany, which has a longstanding partnership with Namibia in the transformation of the transport sector, said a fully-fledged regional logistics hub will be a major stepping stone for the country. Namibia and Germany marked their 30 years of partnership in the transport sector on Friday.
