Namibia and South Africa want the international community to recognize that Israel is subjecting Palestine to draconian apartheid laws. Therefore, they say, the principle of self-determination and non-discrimination should apply to Palestine as well. The two countries' Permanent Missions to the UN hosted a virtual side event, complaining about the continued injustices committed against Palestinians by Israel.
