Namibians who wish to travel to European Union (EU) countries can do so, as long as they can prove that they are travelling for essential reasons. The country was red-listed in response to the COVID-19 Omicron variant detected in neighbouring South Africa which resulted in the EU temporarily suspending travellers from southern African countries.
