NAMPOL Commander John Lifasi dies

A Senior Commander in the Namibian Police (NAMPOL), Commissioner John Mwakamui Lifasi, has died. The Regional Commander for Hardap Region, Commissioner Lifasi died on Thursday morning in the Mariental State Hospital. His death was announced by Police Inspector General Ltd General, Sebastian Ndeitunga. Ndeitunga described the late Lifasi as "a principled officer who stood tall in the maintenance of the law", from the time he joined the force in 1990, until his death at age 59. He is survived by his wife and four children.
