The Namibian Police Force (NAMPOL) in Oshana Region is asking for help in identifying five suspects, who robbed the Ongwediva Engen Service Station of N$132 000. According to NAMPOL's Oshana Commander, Commissioner Rauha Amwele, the suspects robbed the manager of an Engen Service Station on Monday as he was entering his car to drive to the bank to deposit the money. Amwele says the culprits pounced on and overpowered the station manager, grabbed the money container and disappeared in two-yet to be identified get-away vehicles. The commissioner says that she is disappointed at the fact that none came to the aid of the manager or took the details of the vehicles, despite the attack having gone down in broad daylight. Amwele has urged members of the public to be vigilant of cars of suspected robbers. She says cars driving around without number plates should raise red flags and those seeing them should inform the police. The NAMPOL regional commander says that the police are working to track down the suspects. But she says that they will be apprehended with the assistance from members of the public. -NAMPA
