The National Assembly will start with its normal business today after concluding and passing the 2020/2021 Appropriation Bill late last night. The National Assembly will, among others, discuss a motion by Dr Tangeni Iijambo of SWANU about the National Reconciliation Policy, which according to him has left pockets of Namibia's people in dire straits. The Minister of Home Affairs, Immigration, Safety and Security, Frans Kapofi's motion for the ratification of the transfer of prisoners between Namibia and the Russian Federation, is also on the order paper. The Assembly will further discuss and agree on the Minister of Health's motion, to ratify the treaty for the establishment of the African Medicine Agency. The Minister of Information and Communication Technology's motion to appoint an independent and impartial Information Commissioner and a deputy, will also be considered. The Information Commissioner will require that public and private entities provide for the right of access to information, in a transparent and accountable way.
