National Council Vice-Chairperson Victoria Kauma is concerned over the deplorable living conditions of some members of the security sector. Kauma blames this for high instances of theft and suicide among police, soldiers and security officers. Kauma further highlighted issues of gender-based violence and the growing number of street children in the country - saying these are scourges that must be tackled head-on by all sectors, including parliamentarians.
