The National Housing Enterprise, NHE, is calling on Windhoek residents living in informal areas to register for affordable houses under the Informal Settlement Upgrading project. The project is an initiative of the Urban and Rural Development Minister Erastus Uutoni in conjunction with the City of Windhoek, NHE and the |Khomas Regional Council. Close to 400 houses have been constructed so far since the launch of the project in 2020. Prospective clients must be title deed owners, belong to a group with title deeds, or be lease agreement holders and have access to full municipal services. Those interested can find NHE officials at Stop and Shop in Okuryangava, Katutura, this Saturday between 08H00 to 12H00 or visit the NHE or City of Windhoek offices.
