Police in Ohangwena region has confiscated alcohol from the Ekolola informal settlement in Eenhana after a tip-off from community members. A 57-year-old woman was found in possession of alcohol and cigarettes. Upon arrival, they discovered 27 boxes of whiskey, cigarettes as well as containers of traditional home brew, locally known as tombo, hidden underground in the shacks. The police have again warned the public against the purchasing and selling of alcohol during this period.
