As a first for Namibia, interviews for candidates vying for the position of Ombudsman were broadcast live at the Supreme Court. The three shortlisted nominees, Ruth Herunga, Toucy Namiseb and Basilius Dyakugha battled it out before Chief Justice Peter Shivute and four other commissioners from the Judicial Service Commission.
