Opposition MPs attacked Government over its alleged inability to reignite the stalled economy when the debate on the second reading of the mid-term budget review resumed. Finance Minister, Ipumbu Shiimi in his reply describing it a political agenda aimed at canvassing support, ahead of the elections and not the issues raised in the budget. Popular Democratic Movement's (PDM) Elma Dienda, said the budget was tabled during the most challenging time but called on the legislators to be considerate of the plight of the vulnerable.
