A seven-year-old boy has died after the walls of the house caved in and crushed him in the Osire Refugee Camp's Block 8 in the Otjozondjupa Region. According to regional police spokesperson, Maureen Mbeha, the deceased has been identified as Daniel Kalipa. Inspector Mbeha says the mud structure's walls collapsed due to heavy rain showers. Kalipa was asleep with his mother when the incident occurred at 02h00 on Wednesday. Kalipa sustained head injuries and died upon arrival at the Otjiwarongo State Hospital. An inquest has been opened and investigations continue.
