Despite the growing pressure to cater for basic services of a growing town's population, the Otjiwarongo Town Council will continue its mandate to uplift local communities. Mayor Kandiwapa Shivute announced that tariffs, for the most part, will remain unchanged over the next financial year. The Council's decision was based on the COVID-19 pandemic again on the rise, threatening businesses and residents' lives, both directly and indirectly.
