Otjozondjupa farmers call on Government to allow them to harvest thorny bush for charcoal

Otjozondjupa communal famers have called on the Government to allow them to harvest thorny and impenetrable bush so that they venture into charcoal businesses. Chairman Ramana Mutjavikua says the Forest Stewardship Council standard prevents farmers from harvesting their forestry. The council is an international organisation that promotes responsible management of the world's forests.
