Government's commitment of paying outstanding invoices amounting to about N$3 billion will have a positive effect on the local economy. President Hage Geingob announced that all outstanding government debt will be paid by the end of this month. Speaking at the presidential media briefing Finance Minister Calle Schlettwein explained that N$1,7 billion were already budgeted for unpaid invoices for the 2015/2016 financial year.
