The PDM believes the improvement of governance at the local government level is the only way to move Namibia into a higher economic position. This was said by the party's president McHenry Venaani when he addressed a rally at Berseba in the //Kharas Region. The region, according to Venaani, had for years been denied sustainable service delivery, simply due to ethnic discrimination, spearheaded by SWAPO.
