Deputy Minister of Information and Communication Technology, Emma Theofelus says period poverty is a societal issue in Namibia and is affecting those who don't have access to safe hygienic menstrual products they need. Theofelus said this during the handover of sanitary pads and launch of the period drive initiative by Coco-Cola Company at Groot Aub Junior Secondary School.
