Following good recent rains received in the country, NamWater has announced positive inflows to the country's dam levels.

The Von Bach Dam is now standing at 31.3%, while the Swakoppoort Dam is at 35.6%.

Omatako Dam is now at 28.1%, down from 28.5%, despite receiving 37 mm of rainfall.

The Swakoppoort Dam experienced an inflow of 0.870 million cubic meters, increasing its level to 34.9% capacity, a noticeable improvement from last week's 33.5%.

That represents a positive change from the 27.3% recorded last week.

Omatako Dam also saw an inflow of 1.631 million cubic meters, raising its level to 28.5%, up from 24.8% last week.

Omatjenne Dam is still at a low level, having risen to 4.4%, following an inflow of 0.081 million cubic meters, an improvement from last week's 2.8%.

These changes highlight the impact of ongoing rainfall in improving water security.

In light of this, NamWater urges all Namibians to continue using water responsibly to sustain this vital resource throughout the year.
