President Hage Geingob today announced amended measures to curb the spread of COVID-19 for the next 30 days. He says "although the war against COVID-19 is not yet over, we are making inroads and steering our ship even closer towards the shores of recovery. Public gatherings have been increased to 200 people, restrictions on liquor remains. All recreational places may allow up to half of its capacity, the President emphasises that restrictions on the number of persons attending burials of 200 applies to mourners only. Burials of COVID-19 related must be within 10 days. Onsite consumption of food after burials is permitted. The President implores all citizens and business owners to enforce the Infection Control and Prevention measures of wearing a face mask, hand washing, physical distancing and avoiding overcrowding.
