President Hage Geingob has praised both international footballers Peter Shalulile and Deon Hotto, saying they continue to fly the Namibian flag high. Dr Geingob took to social media and hailed the skills of Shalulile and Hotto as consistent and on par excellence. Shalulile took home the Footballer of the Season and the Players Player of the Season accolades at the season-ending South African Football Awards on Sunday. He scored 22 times in the just-ended campaign, which was won by the Mamelodi Sundowns for a fourth-year running. Hotto won the MTN8 Last Man Standing award for his outstanding display, which helped his Orlando Pirates winning the cash-cow competition. The two, through their discipline and achievements, the President said, are role models for the Namibian youth. Shalulile and Hotto had an audience with the President when they were part of the Brave Warriors squad that won the Cosafa Cup in 2015.
