President Hage Geingob has sent a message of condolence to the Smith family, following the death of Daniel Smith. The ambassador died on Sunday in Windhoek. President Geingob described the late diplomat as a pioneer in the civil service since 1990. He said that ambassador Smith contributed to the development and consolidation of Namibia's diplomatic relations during his postings to Austria, Sweden and Nigeria.
