A prolonged dry spell in some parts of northern Namibia could affect farmers who were hoping for a bumper harvest this year. At the start of the rainy season earlier this year, prospects pointed to promising yields, with mahangu fields receiving sufficient rainfall, and Oshana pans filling up with water.
