A group of people who say they were retrenched due to the Coronavirus pandemic have gathered at the Office of the Labour Commissioner in Khomasdal. They want the commissioner to assist them with getting their jobs back and have been at the office since 08h00. The group said that no one from the office has attended to them. On NBC's arrival, Kyllikki Sihlahla, Deputy Director responsible for Conciliation and Arbitration, came out and explained that the staff was in meetings the entire morning but will attend to the group. The group largely comprises workers from the tourism and hospitality industry. The commissioner is refusing to see them in the presence of the media.
