Russia donates COVID-19 disinfecting, testing equipment to Namibia

With COVID-19 figures still surging globally, the demand for testing equipment is reaching an all-time high. The Deputy Prime Minister, Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah says, this is proving to be a challenge, particularly for Namibia. Nandi-Ndaitwah said even though Namibia is doing its best to ensure that citizens get their results on time, the situation is still proving to be very difficult. It is against this background that countries like the Federation of Russia and the United Arab Emirates are donating towards Namibia's fight against the pandemic. The Russian government donated portable ultraviolet flash units used for disinfecting premises as well as rapid tests used for diagnosing COVID-19 in minutes, instead of weeks.
