The secretary-general of SWAPO, Sophia Shaningwa has rejected accusations of corruption against the party and the Government. Shaningwa argues that the party cannot be crucified for the crimes committed by a few corrupt individual members of SWAPO. She said this during a rally at Rundu's Kaisosi informal settlement.
