South African advocate questions integrity of ACC, authority of the police in the "Fishrot" case

South African advocate Vas Soni is questioning the integrity of the ACC and the authority of the police when it executed the warrants for seizure and arrest of the accused in the "Fishrot" case. Soni suggested to the court that the arrest of the men accused in the multi-billion dollar fishing scandal involving Namibians and an Icelandic company, Samerji could be unprocedural and unlawful. He is representing former Justice Minister Sacky Shanghala and his co-accused James Hatuikulipi and Puis Mwatelulo, while Anti-Corruption Commission lead investigator, Andreas Kanyangela remains under cross-examination as a state witness in the Windhoek High Court.
