Namibia has launched its Space Science and Technology Policy, a first of its kind in an effort to accelerate and exploit the benefits of its open skies. The country has an attractive open sky, which can be used to predict rainfall, early warning systems during floods or droughts, detection of illegal fishing, security threats, and urban planning, to mention but a few.
