The Swakopmund Genocide Committee has reiterated its call for the removal Marine Denkmal on the grounds of State House at the town. The appeal was made during a public hearing on a motion to declare Genocide Remembrance Day in honour of Namibians killed during the 1904-1908 German colonial war .
