A terrible tragedy unfolded at the Oanob Dam outside Rehoboth yesterday. Hardap Police Deputy Commissioner, Eric Clay says according to preliminary reports, three young men are missing after the boat in which they were cruising took on water and sank. Commissioner Clay says 9 young men from Rehoboth were on the boat at the time of the incident but 6 survived and the remaining three have not yet been accounted for. Two of the surviving six were admitted to the hospital and at least one of them was connected to life support machines. Commissioner Clay says a full-scale search and rescue mission is currently underway after police divers were despatched from Windhoek. He points out that he is expecting a full report on the incident later today.
