Tsumeb residents welcomed the festive season by gathering at a local park where they sang Christmas carols by candlelight. Carols by candlelight were launched in 2018 by the town's residents with a special focus on persons with disabilities and those that do not have the means to celebrate Christmas. This year, the event was inclusive of everyone from all walks of life and residents spent their Saturday outdoors in a park singing carols by candlelight, featuring live performances by 'the blind pianist' Harry Rheeder. This year's event was sponsored by Tsumeb based individuals, SMEs and the town's Municipality.
