The United Kingdom has temporarily banned flights between Namibia, together with five other southern African countries, because of the discovery of a new variant in South Africa. The temporary ban is effective from today (Friday). Other countries that have also been added to the UK's red list are South Africa, Zimbabwe, Botswana, Lesotho and Eswatini.
