The Secretary-General of the United Nations (UN) has called on leaders around the world to stand up against hate speech associated with COVID-19. Antonio Guterres in a special speech delivered yesterday said COVID-19 knows no boundaries and should be addressed with solitary, instead of the tsunami of hate speech, xenophobia and scapegoating that has now become the order of the day.
