Out of over 16 000 registered voters, during the Ondangwa Urban Constituency by-elections last year 3 792 voters cast their ballot. IPPR Research Associate Frederico Links said despite a surge in Independent Candidates and the formation of new political parties and organisations, it is unlikely that the upcoming elections will show any improvement.
