Voting has started well in Oshana

The voting process has started well in the Oshana Region this morning. Most polling stations that our news team visited started without hiccups. People woke up as early as 01h00 to be the first to vote. At several polling stations we visited in Oshakati-East, Oniipa as well as Ondangwa Urban and Rural constituencies voters were happy to cast their votes. They are voting for sanitation, especially in informal settlements, land provision with title deeds and proper housing. Those in rural areas in Oshana want clinic expansion and sub-police stations, clean drinking water as well as improved access roads in villages. 116 641 registered voters in Oshana are expected to cast their votes at 163 polling stations. A total of 348 already cast their votes in Oshana during special voting. There are 1 076 polling officials deployed to various polling stations during the Regional and Local Authority Elections in Oshana.
