The Namibian Police report that on 30 December 2020, between 18h00 and 19h00, at Omuvapu street, in Windhoek's Wanaheda location, a man died after he was shocked to death by electricity. He was allegedly trying to make an illegal electricity connection under a bridge with his brother. The 24-year-old Michael Ashiti and his brother were allegedly trying to connect their electricity and the deceased was left under the bridge. The brother called but did not receive a response. He then heard an explosion under the bridge and Michael started screaming. An ambulance was called and he was declared dead on the scene. The next of kin are informed and investigations into the incident continue.
