A 19-year-old woman was allegedly raped by two men at Tsjaka in the Omaheke Region on Saturday around 22h30. An incident report issued by the Namibian Police Force on Monday said the suspects, aged 22 and 24 years, allegedly grabbed the victim while she was walking home from a club. Both suspects have been arrested. A case of rape was also opened at the Gobabis Police Station against a suspect of unknown age for allegedly raping his 11-year-old cousin between January 2020 and 07 March 2021. It is alleged that the suspect would collect the victim from her grandmother’s house in Gobabis where she lives. He would then take her to a farm some 36 kilometres north of Gobabis where he works, where he allegedly had sexual intercourse with the minor on multiple occasions. The suspect is yet to be arrested.
