In an unrelated shooting incident, a 45-year-old man identified as Uasotoroka Kahama died after accidentally shooting himself with a rifle at Otjikuyu village in the Kunene Region on 30 December. Kahama was in the company of a 12-year-old boy when the incident occurred, the report said. “It is alleged that Kahama and the boy who was his neighbour were at a water point waiting for baboons that killed his goats. He shot and wounded one and followed them to the top of a mountain with the boy behind him. The boy heard a gunshot and saw the deceased fall and roll down from the mountain,” it said.
