President Hage Geingob has extended condolences to the children and the entire bereaved family of the late Absai Uetuesapi Mungendje.

The divine priest Mungendje died on Thursday, aged 99.

President Geingob said Mungendje’s death is a major loss to the Ovaherero community and the Namibian nation.

Mungendje was entrusted with the responsibility of overseeing the sacred shrine at the Chief Hosea Kutako homestead at Toasis village in Aminius.

President Geingob inspected the progress on the Hosea Kutako Memorial Museum and the Shrine two weeks ago and says he exchanged pleasantries with the late Mungendje.

The late Mungendje thanked the government for the construction of the memorial museum and the shrine at the late Chief Hosea Kutako’s dwelling.
