Absai Uetuesapi Mungendje dies

The community of Omaheke said it has lost a family man, Absai Uetuesapi Mungendje, who always advocated for peace among his people.

Mungendje aged 99 died last week. 
 
The traditional priest was residing at Toasis, at the homestead of the late Hosea Kutako in the Aminuis Constituency.

The homestead is being transformed into a memorial museum in honor of the late Chief Hosea Kutako.

The late Mungendje was a nephew and a driver of the late Ombara Kutako.

President Geingob extends condolences to Mungendje family

President Hage Geingob has extended condolences to the children and the entire bereaved family of the late Absai Uetuesapi Mungendje. 

The divine priest Mungendje died on Thursday, aged 99.

President Geingob said Mungendje’s death is a major loss to the Ovaherero community and the Namibian nation. 

Mungendje was entrusted with the responsibility of overseeing the sacred shrine at the Chief Hosea Kutako homestead at Toasis village in Aminius.
