Parliamentarian Inna Hengari was granted bail of N$ 5 000 in the Katutura Magistrate's Court on Friday after her arrest during the protest against unemployment along with activists Dimbulukeni Nauyoma and Michael Amushelelo. They were arrested on Tuesday.

The trio appeared before Magistrate Surita Savage.

Hengari was granted bail on the condition that she does not participate in any illegal demonstrations and that she should appear before the Katutura Magistrate's Court again on the 29th of March. 

Meanwhile, the legal representatives of Nauyoma and Amushelelo informed the court that the duo have abandoned their bail applications and will consider their position after their court appearance on the 29th. 

They remain in custody.

The trio was charged with public disorder and malicious damage to property, while only Amushelelo and Nauyoma face charges of contempt of court.

The State was represented by Prosecutor Tatelo Lusepani.
