The visitors from the Southern Cape SWD Eagles, scored 4 consecutive tries in the first half through scrumhalf Sachin Toring, and a chip and chase from flyhalf  Adriaan van der Berg while left winger Mpho Ntsane and fullback Darryl Fortuin also touchdown for the visitors.

The Welwitschias however could only manage one try from lock Johan Luttig just before half time to bring the score to 10 28. 

In the second half, the Welwitschias stepped up their defense and came back guns blazing keep majority of the ball possession. 

They managed to score two tries through left winger Lloyd Jacobs and from the Replacment Hooker Pieter Janson. 

With the Welwitschias defense in a top gear, the South Africans could only manage a penalty conversion in the second half. 

The final score was Welwitschias 22 SWD Eagles 31.

Next weekend the Welwitschias will host the Falcons in round 3 of their Currie Cup campaign at the same venue.
