Residents of Windhoek and surrounding areas are urged to use water sparingly over the next few days. The Namibia Water Corporation (NamWater) announced a pipe burst near the Windhoek Weight Bridge.

Work on the damaged pipeline along the Von Bach-Windhoek transfer system has already commenced, the water utility said, and is estimated to last 48 hours.

It urged |Khomas residents, particularly around Windhoek, to use water sparingly and plan for a possible shortage, promising to provide frequent progress updates.
