Three people found in possession of close to N$40,000 worth of cannabis made their appearance in the Rundu Magistrate Court.

The three, Robert Jombi Likuwa, Mushambe Kakuru, and Veronica Ruhupwa, were arrested at the Tuhingireni settlement.

The total amount of cannabis found in their possession was valued at N$39,000 and weighed close to 4 kg.

The suspects were granted bail of N$8,000 each and is expected to return to court on June 15 of this year.

On the same day, 46-year-old Titus Kahonwa was arrested at Rundu after he was found in possession of a pangolin skin worth N$50,000.

The suspect pleaded guilty and was given a fine of N$30,000 or three years imprisonment.
